MILANDA picked up a welcome point but the down side was the loss of top scorer Martin Johnstone with a broken nose.
The striker is likely to miss the remainder of the season after one of the Renfrew defenders accidentally caught him with his knee in the opening period of the match. As Scott Preston drove the unfortunate Johnstone to hospital, Milanda reshuffled and went on to take the lead when Lee Colvin rose brilliantly to head home a Kevin Grehan corner in the 13th minute.

That goal and a superb save from Chris Preston when he tipped a header over the bar were the only real highlights of a dull first half that was watched by former Milanda stalwart Gerry McGinty.

Renfrew equalised in the 59th minute with a similar goal to Milanda's, their No.9 powering home a header from a corner.

Both teams had a couple of half-chances after this but defences were very much on top and there wasn't much in the way of goalmouth action.

MOTM: Lee Colvin, John Clifford and Gerry Evans were defensively sound for Milanda and behind them they had a pretty safe pair of hands in Chris Preston who just nicks the man of the match award this week.
