It's all gone a bit tits up for Milanda in the last few weeks. A fine season is in danger of being forgotten as Milanda try to overcome a complete loss of form. On the face of it a game against the all but relegated Bellahouston should have been exactly the type of game Milanda needed to get back on the winning trail but that's not how it panned out.

Once again Milanda found themselves chasing the game after losing an early goal. A long ball in behind the defence caught O'Neill out and allowed the Bellahouston forward to make his run into the box and he hit his shot across Preston in to the net. A few mins later it should have been two when a break down the left ended with a cross into the box that just failed to find its man. Bellahouston continued to pressure Milanda and a cross to the back post found a player completely unmarked but luckily for Milanda he failed to hit the target with his free header.

Milanda finally found the way to the Bellahouston goal on 19 mins when a Walker header was cleared off the line. Then McColgan got one of Milanda's few shots on target. Stand in keeper Preston came to Milanda's rescue with a great stop from a low shot from 10 yards. Milanda's best chance of a poor first half for Milanda fell to Bradburn who was unlucky with a lob from the edge of the box.

Milanda were lucky to reach the break only one behind and were hopeful of stepping it up to recover the game but sadly the second half was probably worse than the first. A superb chested flying goal line clearance from Evans kept Milanda in the game but the game was all but over when Bellahouston did get a deserved 2nd on 62 mins. It was a bit harsh on Preston who had made a fantastic stop from a close range shot but he was unable to stop the rebound hitting the net. The rest of the half saw Milanda try to salvage something from the game but nothing was going right for them. If there were two options Milanda players always picked the wrong one. The inevitable 3rd goal came along for Bellahouston and they could have had 2 or 3 more if it wasn't for Preston and some last ditch defending.

It was relief when the final whistle finally sounded. To the casual observer if they had to choose the team fighting relegation it wouldn't have been Bellahouston. All credit goes to Bellahouston on the day. On that type of performance it's hard to see how they are almost certain for the drop. 5 or 6 nil wouldn't have flattered them. As for Milanda only two games to go and hopefully we can pick ourselves up and finish the season with a couple of wins.

MOTM: After that kind of performance normally the MOTM award stays in the cupboard but on this occasion it is making its way to Chris Preston for his efforts in keeping the score down.
