Scorers - Early, OG, Sime (3), Williamson

Not a game for the purists. A very scrappy affair that barely saw Milanda move out of second gear. A hard and bumpy pitch didn't help matters.

It was Wanderers who took a surprise early lead when a corner into the box went unchallenged and the resultant free header was placed past Walker. Milanda responded immediately and a few minutes later an Early header brought the sides level. The Wanderers keeper was a little unlucky at the goal as he got a hand to the header but could only push it onto the underside of the bar.

The goalie again was out of luck with Milanda's second. A corner from the right by Murray was swung in to the 6 yard box and the keeper came out to punch only to see the punch rebound off a defender back and into the net. Both Coyle and Murray tried to claim but it was a clear own goal. Milanda continued to keep Wanderers pressed in their own half and number three was not long in following. A ball into the box found Sime, playing his first game since October, and he sent a left foot shot across the keeper and into the far corner. Wanderers were beginning to fall apart at this point and were failing to close Milanda down and a real hammering looked on the cards.

Milanda's fourth came from the head of Williamson who lost his marker as Murray hit a free kick to the back post and he bulleted his header past a stationary Wanderers keeper.

4-1 was the half time score and it could have been a lot more.

Milanda took the foot off the gas a bit in the second half and let Wanderers back in to the game a bit more but they were never under any real pressure. Milanda put the game well beyond doubt when Sime scored his second with a right foot shot from inside the box. Coyle then had a great chance to get on the scoresheet when one on one with the keeper but he blasted wildly past the post from 6 yards.

Sime completed his hat-trick when hitting a loose ball in the box goalwards and catching the Wanderers keeper off his line. Not a bad return to the team and he has now scored 6 goals in 5 appearances.

Surprisingly that was the Milanda scoring finished as they eased right down. All the subs were used and new boy Lee got a chance to impresses and had some nice touches. Wanderers got a reward for not throwing in the towel with a well taken goal that gave Walker no chance.

In the end a fairly easy victory for Milanda that could and should have been a lot more.

MOTM - Despite not playing for 6 months comeback kid Sime has to take it this week for his hat-trick. Only another 24 goals to go to reach 30.
