Not a morning for pretty football as soggy underfoot conditions and a swirling wind did its best to make football as difficult as possible.

Pursuers were first to threaten when a swift passing move left their forward clear on walker but he did enough to put him off and he hit the side netting. Milanda finally managed to get up the park and a knock on from Williamson slipped Coyle in behind the defence but he couldn't get his shot on target. Williamson himself had a chance a few mins later when slipping clear of his marker but his shot didn't give the Pursuers keeper much to do. Preston then had a superb last ditch sliding tackle which needed to be precise as he was the last man.

Milanda took the lead from the penalty spot. Another knock on from Williamson again found Coyle, he crossed into the box but the ball was cleared and somehow found it's way back to coyle who beat two men but the last man clearly hauled Coyle down. It looked just inside the box and the ref agreed. Coyle calmly stroked the penalty into the bottom left corner with the keeper going the wrong way.

Coyle again was involved in another chance for Milanda when picking up a loose ball just overt the halfway line. Unfortunately his cut back to Fawns was just intercepted by a back tracking Pursuers defence. Milanda then lost Dullaghan after he overstretched in a tackle. Grant came onto replace him.

Milanda went into half time 1up and faced a second half with the wind behind them.

The wind continued to play havoc and neither side could really get to grips with the conditions. fawns had a chance when a header from a Pursuers defender put him clear. He couldn't get good enough angle and his shot could only hit the side netting. It was about Fawns last action as he was replaced by Murray and an inspired substitution it was.

As Murray entered the fray Milanda had a shy in their own half which was launched down the line and Williamson knocked it to the edge of the box where Murray took a touch and hit a low right foot shot across the keeper into the net. That should have been the points in the bag as Pursuers had rarely threatened in the second half but Milanda went to sleep and allowed them back in the game. Milanda had several attempts to clear the ball but failed and it eventually squeezed through to a Pursuers forward whose shot found the net with Walker unable to get near it. Suddenly it was game on again.

Milanda made their final change when Duncan came on for Williamson. The points were made safe when a pass from murray found Addison in space inside the box and he calmly stuck the ball away.

As the game drew to a close Walker made an excellent stop when closing down the angles as pursuers sought to get something from the game.

A good three points for Milanda in difficult conditions and still gives them a chance of promotion.

MOTM - Think well give it to Adda this week seeing as he scored and had some excellent runs throughout the game.
